About ITS
Information Technology Department’s aim is to ensure that faculties, students, and staff have the information technology tools and infrastructure necessary to carry out the University's mission. IT department provides the infrastructure that enables members of the SEEU family to make maximum use of the appropriate information technology tools in their learning, teaching, research, outreach, administration, and support activities, and the cost-effective information technology resources required to support continuous improvement in the University's ability to fulfill its diverse mission. ITS is working to achieve five broad goals:
Help faculties improve the way education is delivered.
Provide students with resources to enrich their educational experience.
Create and sustain an environment that enables leading-edge research.
Help to improve productivity.
- Establish the information technology infrastructure necessary to maintain SEEU's preeminence in integrating high-quality programs in teaching, research, and service.
- Use technology to reduce the impact of other less environmentally friendly activities.

Director of Information Technology Department
The duties of the director of the information technology department are to lead and direct the Information Technology Department in providing high quality, efficient systems and computer services for staff and students and to ensure effective management of the Department’s policies, processes and procedures and to represent the Department and University to secure and maintain its success and good reputation.
Information Technology Support Leader
The duties of the information technology support leader are to assist in the co-ordination and function of the Information Technology Department and to be responsible for supporting end-users, including hardware and software systems and maintaining the efficient operation and staffing of the Help Desk; and to provide information, advice and support to staff, students and other personnel concerning related issues.
System Administrator
The duties of a system administrator are to assist in the coordination and function of the Information Technology Department and to be responsible for maintaining and managing the computer systems and servers, including implementing new services and maintaining the computer systems and server management to ensure that the system is upgraded, backed up and protected from unauthorized access.
Network Administrator
The duties of a network administrator are to assist in the coordination and function of the Information Technology Department and to be responsible for configuration, implementation and maintaining of all networking hardware, network security, daily activity and enforcing licensing agreements.
Database Administrator
The duties of a database administrator are to be responsible for planning, developing, designing, documenting and maintaining University database systems and resolving problems. To evaluate a variety of other database systems in order to further develop the University infrastructure. To be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the Integrated Library System and database; and to administer this system and provide effective support and training to Library staff.
Head of Software Development
The duties of the head of software development are to assist in the coordination and function of the software development team within the Information Technology Department and to be responsible for coordinating resources and processes in order to maintain and contribute to the update of the University Management System (UMS) and other in-house software and related services; and by ensuring the successful completion of specific projects and initiatives.
Software Developer
The duties of a software developer are to assist in the coordination and function of the Information Technology Department and to be responsible for research, design, testing, implementation and maintenance of software systems to meet University needs; to use a variety of computer programming languages and applications in cooperation with other Information Technology professionals.
